Two of my favorite young female artists, 19-year-old Teyana Taylor and 22-year-old Teairra Marí, are gracing the Rock & Romance cover of Kontrol Magazine this month and the two of them are looking fierce. This is only the magazine's 4th issue. I've admired both of them since they began their careers and its good to see how successful they have both become. Teairra started her career with Roc-A-Fella records back in 2004, but eventually branched off to lead her own success. Teairra is currently working on her sophmore album. Look out for her latest single "Sponsor" and a new movie called "The Lottery Ticket." Teyana is signed to Pharrell's Star Trak Entertainment. We first discovered Teyana on MTV's "My Super Sweet 16" and her retro skate-themed birthday bash had us waiting to see what was next. Her lead single "Google Me" was released in '08. Stay tuned for Teyana's debut album "From a Planet Called Harlem." These two young ladies are very talented and I look forward to seeing just how much more they have to offer. I'm sure they'll bring the heat in 2010.
