Feature Friday: Fast Five

Since Brian and Mia Toretto broke Dom out of custody, they've been trying to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble an elite team of top racers, they realize their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he's not the only one out to get them. Federal agent Luke Hobbs, played by The Rock, never misses his target and when he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can't separate the good guys from the bad. The film stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, and Dwayne Johnson.
Side-note: Stayed tuned after the credits because there's an additional scene.

Feature Friday: Madea's Big Happy Family

Madea's niece, Shirley, receives distressing news about her health. All Shirley wants is to gather her three adult children around her and share the news as a family. But Tammy, Kimberly and Byron are too distracted by their own problems: Kimberly is suffering from anger issues that are threatening to destroy her marriage; Tammy's marital problems are being compounded by her disobedient children; and Byron is struggling to stay out of the drug trade after spending two years behind bars. It's up to Madea, with the help of the equally rambunctious Aunt Bam, to gather the clan together and make things right the only way she knows how; with a lot of tough love, laughter, and the revelation of a long-buried family secret.
The film stars Tyler Perry, Isaiah Mustafa, Loretta Devine, Shad Moss, Cassi Davis, Natalie Desselle, Shannon Kane, Teyana Taylor, and Lauren London.

Feature Friday: African Cats

This documentary released through Walt Disney Studios' Disneynature chronicles the magnitude of a mother's love. The film follows feline mothers -- a lioness and a cheetah -- as they prowl the plains of Africa on a mission to protect their cubs and teach them the ways of the world. African Cats is a great film for any age, I really enjoyed it and it is an especially good family movie; the perfect flick for a mom to watch with her kids. The film is both inspirational and comical, as Samuel L. Jackson narrates the film taking us a journey through the troubles and triumphs of motherhood in the wild.

Killing Me Softly

I heard he sang a good song
I heard he had a style
And so I came to see him
And listen for a while
And there he was this young boy
A stranger to my eyes

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

I felt all flushed with fever
Embarrassed by the crowd
I felt he found my letters
And read each one out loud
I prayed that he would finish
But he just kept right on

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

Whooooooooaaaaaa
Whoooaaa oh oh oh ah ha ahaaaa
la la la la la la la
Whooaa laaa whooaa laaaaaaaa
(Ha ha ha ha) (c'mon)
Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his sonnggggggg

Strumming my pain (Yeah Yeaaaahhh)
Singing my life with his words (Yeaaaahhhh)
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words

Music Monday

Chris Brown = Beautiful People

LOVE this song! It just has a feel-good vibe to it. Real care free and genuine. The video contains nice imagery too. Not to mention it plays off of my favorite word: BEAUTIFUL :)
