Google has created a new social networking (or sharing/connecting as they call it) site called Google+.
Google+ is designed to make sharing ideas, news, photos, events easier. The site consists of 5 components:
Circles; creates different circles for the people you share and connect with (family, friends, co-workers, etc),
Sparks; looks for videos and articles it thinks you’ll like so when you’re free there’s always something to watch, read, and share,
Hangouts; live video chats,
Instant Upload (Photos); for instantly sharing photos (obviously),
Huddle; combines different conversations into one simple group chat.
